Peter Dennison needs to make money to marry.
Sailing in the Solent he is in collision with a tycoon's yacht carrying Stephen Morris and is persuaded to join a venture to exploit the expedition of trans-Atlantic Air Mail. With Morris as the pilot and Dennison the navigator in a small flying boat, they are catapulted from the deck of a freighter, 1000 miles out in the Atlantic, in an attempt to land safely in Cornwall. |
